This week, Steve is joined by musician Karina Rykman, who’s gearing up to release her second album, Late Checkout, later this week. Her tour kicks off this Friday with her second headling gig at New York City’s legendary Webster Hall. Steve and Karina talked about the magic that came from making the record at Trey Anastasio’s legendary ‘The Barn’ recording studio. They also got into Karina’s love of heavy metal, a recent celebrity sighting here in the city, the pressures and rewards of being a bandleader and how being an only child helped her navigate the early years of life in the music business.
