UN votes in favor of map change to equal earth model

The UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to endorse a new world map using the "Equal Earth" projection to replace the centuries-old Mercator map. The non-binding resolution aims to fix severe geographic distortions—showing landmasses like Africa and Greenland in their true relative size. Michael J.
